Pilot Project Summary

The Restigouche CBDC is part of the Community Futures Network of Canada, a national network of 269 autonomous, not-for-profit organizations. Each of these 269 organizations works to meet the needs of small business, through a variety of programs and services, in rural areas across Canada. 

The Restigouche CBDC responded to a call for proposals from the Government of Canada, Workplace Skills Initiative, proposing a pilot project designed to respond to the need for improved HR management practices in small businesses. 

The Restigouche CBDC was given the mandate to carry out the three-year National HR Pilot Project, and the project took place from January 2007 to January 2010.

Overall objective of the Pilot Project
To increase the effectiveness of HR management practices within smaller businesses, in order to improve productivity and competitiveness.
